Fran, a True Friend

Fran Petersen was talented, creative and committed to the common good and to the service of his fellow human being. A true friend, he was always helpful, kind, and generous. An outstanding Scout leader, he was the soul of the White Stag program.

I was most fortunate to have him working with me from the earliest development of the White Stag, throughout the time when the program reached full maturity. We always benefited from his friendly advice. I was honored to share with him the recognitions of the Silver Stag Award and the Count Teleki medal of the Hungarian Scout Association. His departure is a great loss to all of us. Now he continues his spiritual journey.
