The Eleven Skills of Leadership

as they are taught within White Stag Leadership Development by those
who learned from the program founders.
These eleven leadership skills were ideas that founder Béla
Bánáthy adapted and .
Bánáthy was an experienced Scouter and in the early 1960s Chairman of
the Leadership Training Committee of the Monterey Bay Area Council, Boy
Scouts of America. He founded a program in 1958 to try out his theory
of "leadership
development by design". The National Council learned
of the program's success and eventually adapted the concepts into
its own programs.
